3. I'm with you.
Its almost witty enough to count as clever the very first time someone said it.

Then it should have stopped!!

11. Just like ".....sucks." Vulgar, and showing a lack of imagination
as well. My kids are not allowed to describe anything they dislike as "...sucks." They are required to be more imaginative and literate.

who gets annoyed by it.

Besides which, I have my personal set of standards for judging other people's behavior, which goes like this:

1) If I like you, whatever you do is fine.

2) If I don't like you, you can't do anything right, and I'll criticize any aspect of your personality, even if I don't mind the same thing in people who are in category 1.

You, of course, are in category 1. So you can say whatever you want to, and it's fine with me.

or do you dislike anything with the (food)+ hole construction? For instance, I tell my pop (who's indian) to sometimes shut his "curry hole" (all in fun of course).

18. I don't even see how it's crude.
your "pie hole" is your mouth, it's where you put the pie when you eat it, it also happens to be the same orifice that you use to talk, hence the term "shut your pie hole"

the eroticization of food is what I hate more than anything, but I don't see this being a case of that, either

just my two cents

19. Crude = unrefined.
Such as "shut your fucking trap" is fairly crude. "Would you kindly refrain from vocalizing" is much more refined (yet less effective). :P

32. evidently not
personally, I sort of like to use it, but only in joking.

I remember when the Dalai Lama visited NYC, one of the late night TV shows had some fake quote from him saying "It's very difficult to meditate in New York, because you have to stop every couple of minutes to tell some guy to shut his freakin' pie hole."

37. Oh, I'm not arguing that it was a good joke. It was damn funny.
The juxtaposition of opposites is what makes people laugh. I laughed when I read it, and will probably steal it and tell it to someone in the future.

Even the "f" word has its place, judiciously and/or humorously used, but I have no use for things like "pie hole."
