Edited on Fri Dec-09-05 01:58 AM by XemaSab
Cactus seeds
A patch from Lassen
An illegal Barn Owl feather
A strip of carpet tacks
A small crowbar
A "Dean for America" pin (the Doctor is IN!!!)
A "Gore/Lieberman" pin
Sunset magazine
Three art pieces one of my mom's former clients did
Half a loaf of "freedom" bread
A wooden northwestern Native raven
My new laptop
A newsletter from our fascist congressman
The dog's leash
Plans for the front garden that my friend did (in a tube)
A box of nuts and bolts
My democracy bond that was on the fridge until the magnet failed
A CD/tape player

What's on YOUR table??

On edit: spaced out, not a Gore/Lieberman pin, but a Clinton/Gore pin!!!! And we've moved multiple times since then! Yikes!

2. We don't have one..
28 year old male checking in..

My furniture:
-Twin mattress (I lack a box spring and frame)
-Flea market table used as desk
-Cheap office chair

That is it.

My TV sits on a stack of encyclopedias.

I now have the sudden urge to drink heavily.

4. Well, since I now have a proper dining room........
with a gorgeous table, I might add......

On that table reside:

6 place mats

2 water glasses

A wood trivet in the shape of a turtle

A wrought iron napkin holder

A combo salt shaker/pepper grinder

The mail and other such stuff goes elsewhere!

6. Xema! Of course I"m human! ROFLMAO!
But for MANY years, I have endured the dining room table as the depository for all the household junk!

When we built our home 4 years ago, I put my foot down, and announced that the dining room would no longer be the stopping place for all that JUNK!

And of course the architect was a big help......the dining room is FAR from the front door....

No more problems, and the table always looks beautiful......

I know you're J/K!

25. A mess!
Dozens of books stacked up.
My broken digital camera I've been tinkering with.
A box of DVD recordable disks.
Four of the ugliest ties you've ever seen - I'm the king of ugly ties, but these frighten even me!
A stack of PAL format BBC videos.
The broken strap from my backpack.
A pair of matt-black, dress handcuffs.
A sweater I keep intending to return.
An antique jewelry box my Irish nanny gave me that I keep meaning to pack up and send to her daughter - although it was given to me, it should really be hers, it's a family heirloom.

Khash.

so we could have a "country" New Years dance and refinish the floor.

The party was fun. The floor needs sanding again, never got the finish on it.

Using a plastic patio table for the piles, don't want to look.

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillio

Edited on Fri Dec-09-05 09:34 PM by yellowdogintexas
my purse, a couple of books, some Christmas cards, box, wool scarf, salt and pepper shakers, keys
a bottle of fabric blue left over from making voodoo dolls of Rummy, Condi, W, Darth Cheyney and Turd Blossom for my Halloween costume, a green plastic charger plate, a couple of Christmasy picks for making a wreath or centerpiece.

It was worse last night before I went through the room gathering up recyclable paper to put in the bin, since today was trash pick up day.

This description is actually of my kitchen table.

I have two other dining tables which are in the "front room", which could be either a living room or a dining room or a combination depending on your intentions and furnishings. They are not currently set up as dining tables, but serve as display places for some nice pottery and glass pieces I have collected over the years and a lovely assortment of Russian iconographic religious items my husband picked up in Alaska.

68. About half a dozen packages of polymer clay,
my pasta machine, a bottle of Future floor polish, a bottle of rubbing alcohol, a roll of paper towels, a clay blade, and a bunch of stuff I might want to use for the six or seven clay projects I need to get done - four by next Tuesday, three more after Christmas.

Also 4 candy canes and some catalogs I want to look through one more time before I throw them out.

The only thing domestic about me is that I live in a house.

81. At this very moment? Probably a cat or two
a fall centerpiece (Roseville vase with leaves) that has yet to be morphed into a Xmas centerpiece, magazines, junk mail, Chrsitmas docor that hasn't put up yet...you can barely see the tabletop, and it only gets worse when we get home because hubby is a packrat/baglady who needs to tote several bags of stuff to work everyday and then plop it on the table when he gets home. :grr:
