146. Yes, he was an incredible photographer
my ex...that is, until he went insane with drugs and guns and ended up in prison. C'est la vie, i suppose.

But, i did learn how to snap good pics and process film and whatnot, so it wasn't a total waste of 5 years of my life :P

158. You can learn a lot in five years, like the fact that you should have
spent the last five years differently from the way you did...I've done that. Though I don't think any of my exes are in jail. Some in the asylum, if there's any justice, but no jail as far as I know.

By the way, anytime you're at work and the weather gets dangerous, remember there's shelter right across the bridge where you can hang out until it blows over. We could even come get you with the AWD Volvo - I LOVE driving that in blizzards.

It's ok to be annoyingly vain about the hair; it's cool :)

I actually opted out of driving down there today... took a sick day. I was feeling pretty gross about 6 am today, and between that and the snow, decided it wasn't worth it. But thanks for the offer, I will definitely keep it in mind!! I miss my Subaru in the snow, very much.

If it's not too personal.... what's the deal with the scars? My body is covered in them, my ex-lover had some shocking and terrible ones from an attempted murder, my sister had some from cancer treatment.

If you don't feel comfortable telling me about them, that's totally cool. Some things are private. Just don't ever let yourself think that they detract from you.


(Actually, every time Tori Amos sings "that sacred pipe of redstone" I laugh and think of you.)

639. Well, the ones on my knees and gut and arms and hands are old, and
lots of other people have such, so I don't care about them. But my left shoulder looks like I stuck it under a lawnmower, and there's a depression where the outboard three and a half inches of my collarbone used to be before it was removed (and the damn doctor wouldn't even let me take it home to use as a desk ornament (I really did want to do that)).

I'm not really as squeamish about it as I may seem here; it's just that it's the kind of thing people would look at and ask about, I guess. I dunno, really. Probably not something I should give a shit about, as you say. Maybe after a few more years, when they stop getting so bright red when they're exposed to the sun (though that may not go away because of the RSDS)...

I hit the bear with a Stone Cold Stunner and finished him off. The bitch of it was though, I ran across the room, jumped and gave him an axhandle earlier on in the fight and when I did that I hit my hand on a light hanging from the ceiling. So I got the pinfall, but the rug sent me to the hospital for a few stitches. :)

Hell, I can barely even tell myself how to live, let alone anybody else. :)

My little brother thinks it's the funniest thing in the world that I tell everybody that he fought a badger. I mean seriously, who the fuck is nuts enough to literally fistfight a badger? Those things will kill a guy. It's all normal to him though.

The reason that looks like a hostage photo is beacause it's a driver's license photo. It's pretty much the best pic I have of myself. No one takes pictures of me and definitely not up close. They're always at a distance.

I didn't want to post this one, but the poster above is right. "Yowza" shots shouldn't be of just me doing my best Russ Crowe for the state, but of the person at their least clothed and most vulnerable.

So here it is . . . me, 10 years, 30 pounds and 2 1/2 feet of hair ago, jokingly posing on a table on the last day of my job back then (I worked third shift pretty much unsupervised) . . . I'm going to hell for this.

Like I said, worked pretty much unsupervised. I could write a whole Clerks-like script with the shit that went on up there during the 8 years I worked there to pay for school. At times it was a skate park, diner, bar, party, place to sober up, a refuge, . . . a bedroom . . . (ahem) . . .

That last night was fun as hell. Me and two other friends re-arranged the whole restaurant's tables, stacked all of the cups in towers, filled the lobby waist-deep in balloons and made a bird massacre scene on the table using three of their prop birds they had above the salad bar.

I don't know why I have no shots at close range. Probably because people know I don't like flashes?

Okay, so it's not "yowza" level.

Anyway, this is a recent photo. I'm working on a sculpture of a full round, nude female figure in which her back is the most predominant feature. I've been working from some drawing books and a few photographs I found in magazines, also a very cool artist's 3D model computer program I have, but I still couldn't find a really good reference for the scapula positioning I wanted. I have a full length mirror I'll use for most things if I have to model it for myself, but it's too difficult for the back. And I am not about to pay out the bucks for a live model. Thus, the world's only "topless" photos of yours truly.

it was a high ropes course. Spent the week leaning over 150 ft cliffs, rock climbing, rappeling and such..:)

Climbed that pole and there was a round piece of 1/2" plywood at the top about the size of a dinner plate. It had a bolt through the middle to hold it to the top of the pole, but it turned freely. The metal rungs stopped at about 2 feet from the top and you had to climb up onto the disk and stand up without falling, which was made more difficult by the fact that the top turned when you grabbed it. It was fun...:)

It is a SP-2-V variant of the -5 model, seven of which were owned by the US Army in Vietnam. They were operated under NATOPS and, for a while, that included having Navy instructors in the unit. But for the "YOWZA!!!!" factor, I got this one nailed...

This is me holding a little pup that I'm bringing home from the vet. She had been severely abused, but is now in much better shape:


(her abuser is in jail now, as I type)

And this is me 20 minutes after cutting this dog's chain. Of course, she's a vicious pit bull...(actually, a failed puppy making cash cow, left to starve in the back yard). At least it's a new pic of an event posted here before:
