"got" his humor. Plus, they didn't really let him do his typical act, b/c of a little thing called censorship.

He turned Carson's Tonight Show into something that appeals primarily to the groundlings.

7. I wish it would go back to what it used to be.
The awards started out as a luncheon/dinner thing with only the people involved, invited..

Maybe a little write up or a snippet in the newsreel..It's morphed into a monstrously ugly thing..

People only care about three or four awards, and yet must endure 3+ hours of non-entertainment and phony adlibs..

Most people have not even seen the movies..and the ratings have been dropping for decades..

It's all politics and advertising..and a total waste of time..
