National Enquirer: Michael Jackson ODs in Bahrain, in critical condition

JACKO BOMBSHELL

By ALAN BUTTERFIELD

Michael Jackson has suffered an overdose from drugs and alcohol and is said to be in a critical condition in Bahrain.

That is what the National Enquirer can reveal police in Santa Barbara, California, have been told by a source close to the singer's family.

The Santa Barbara police, located near Jackson's Neverland ranch, investigated the 47-year-old pop star which resulted in the child molestation charges. Jackson was acquitted of all charges on June 13 at the criminal trial.

Now The National Enquirer has learned exclusively that Santa Barbara police were told by family insiders that Jackson "recently OD'd on Demerol and Jack Daniels" in Bahrain.

1. I am not surprised.

The guy was a musical genius until the early 90s, when his music really started to become all soft and whacked, never mind his voice losing its qualities...

He had a nasty childhood.

I don't think he molested children, but his lack of a normal childhood very likely hurt him in ways most people can't even begin to fathom (hence everyone thinking he actually molests children). Yeah, it's odd he'd sleep in the same bed with them, but that in of itself is not molestation.

He has issues.

Most people with bad childhoods do.

Never mind the stressors of being a celebrity, which in of itself leads to "pedestal pushing".

He has lost just about everything.

No wondere he attempted.

Assuming the Enquirer, a trash rag, is correct. (it might be; I just googled Jackson's name and http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3182279,00.html has it too)

3. He molested children.
It only became a "problem" when his targets were other than the offspring of illegal domestics.

2. Well, you can never tell with the National Enquirer.
But if this is true, it really doesn't surprise me. Whether it was accidental or on purpose, it just doesn't surprise me.

4. The Demerol makes sense
But you'd think with his money, he could OD on something better than Jack Daniel's.

If it is true, it's pretty sad. I have compassion for Jackson even if he is guilty of child molestation. Please don't read that as meaning I condone it - I don't and I don't have compassion for him with THAT.

However, he is obviously a messed up person and I do have compassion for people like that even while I don't condone their actions. His entire life has been a glitzy, overblown cry for help and that's sad. Money and material things truly don't buy happiness or peace of mind.

I have the most compassion, however, for his children. What are the odds that they will live uncomplicated lives? Not good, I would think - they're already living in a fishbowl.
