1. Another Flying Dog Pale Ale, please?
They're in the fridge, but I put a couple in the freezer so they'd be ICE-ICE-BABY cold.

3. I'll bring the six-pack
they're bound to go quickly. :)

Here it's ice cold outside. We can toss them in a snowbank out the back door :)

2. Why not relax and let it grab you instead?
That's the point isn't it?

6. Your post made me fire up
the Andrews Sisters singing "Drinkin' Rum and Coca-Cola."

Really cool tune, with a subversive flavor!

Cheers!

My fave is Barbancourt Anejo from Haiti. Mmmmmmmmmm! The coke part is almost superfluous.

8. I must confess
it's actually diet dr. pepper and rum, but in the great southern tradition any carbonated dark beverage is a coke, so anything dark and carbonated with rum is a rum and coke ...

still, i'm always happy to tip business to the andrews sisters, though i'm not familiar with that song. I'll have to check it out :)

14. You're right: it's all "coke"
I'm an Alabama boy, myself.

You'll be amazed at some of the commentary in "Rum and Coca-cola." You can almost hear the Cuban Revolution in it.

I don't even have a second favorite :)

It's not quite root beer, but this, too, is perty dang tasty (and I'm pretty sure it's honey free):

25. Holiday Bowl :) Where's Auburn bound?
OU winds up playing Oregon, who's ranked #11, iirc. So if we happen to win, it will certainly validate a strong finish ...

I know I knew at one point where auburn was headed, but i don't remember now ...

26. Capital One Bowl in Orlando
I liked it better as the Citrus Bowl, have made two or three trips down there to see Auburn play in the past couple of decades. It's a fun bowl game in a fun place, no complaints here.

Except they are playing Wisconsin. How are KitchenWitch and I going to enjoy watching the game together when our teams are playing each other?

27. you folks got screwed though (um ... again ...)
I mean, I know it's because you lost to lsu, but I can't help but think you'd've given georgia a better game than they did ... i think auburn is the best team in the sec this year ...

as for wisconsin ... i was born there, so i've a certain affinity, but i don't think they've got a chance :D (hopefully KitchenWitch won't take it personally ;))

28. Awww...
:loveya:

I'm glad some people recognize that. But you know how I thought we were screwed last year - and rectifying it would have bumped your team out of the national championship game, so I'm glad that's not the debate this year. I have too many Oklahoma fan friends here!

That Auburn-LSU game was awful to watch. Poor kicker went 0-5 that night. I've watched with some interest several teams experience problems with their place-kicking at Death Valley in Baton Rouge. Don't know what it is, but we were sure jinxed that night.

I would have LOVED to see an Auburn-Georgia rematch in the SEC Championship game. Their regular season game (which we all watched together here!) was the best game I saw all season!

I do think Auburn will beat Wisconsin, but take nothing for granted!

:D

29. that WAS a great game
i remember commenting on it with you, though I'd been watching with a georgia fan :)

(i didn't see the auburn-lsu game, but as a sooner fan i'm bound to think that any les miles win is a fluke :))

ah, college football ... only ten days until the first bowl game :)

30. Yes, I remember that, too.
And I went to Georgia, so I am a huge Bulldogs fan, too. But I grew up in Auburn, so 18 years of indoctrination (LOL) outweigh four in the long run!
