I am feeling very happy today!
For the first time in months, I'm smiling ear to ear! It's so good to feel this way again. I had two great dates yesterday, each with a ton of potential for the future. My battleaxe of an ex FINALLY moves out tomorrow morning, six months after she cheated on me. I'm heading to Rome on Monday. And when I get back, I finally move into an apartment of my own! Very exciting times indeed!

I just wanted to share that bit of joy with you all. I love all of you here at DU - I wouldn't have made it to this point without you guys!! Thank you for all of your support!! :grouphug: :loveya:

6. The wonderful world of possibilities.
Good for you. Go well and be well. Unasked for advice that you may already know: allow yourself all your reactions to your breakup, they'll inform you, moreso than being only cognitive, in choosing options. Give yourself time to process and you'll be dragging less of what you're currently going through in to future interactions. You'll know when you're ready instead of just deciding that you are. All the best to you.

10. Well, I took it pretty slow.
I only recently really started dating, and it's been a good 5 months since the break up. To be on the safe side, I instituted a one-date policy, where I wouldn't go out with a girl more than once unless I had no reservations about doing so. I didn't want to put myself into a situation where I started dating someone just because I felt lonely or something. It was the best thing I could've done - I couldn't be any happier with that decision. I truly feel great right now and I'm taking things slowly.

Thank you!!

11. Good for you.
What you're doing makes sense and feels good. Slow but sure wins the race. Go well and be well. :)
