Owens' problems with Eagles started last season

December 16, 2005
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Before Terrell Owens was banished from the Philadelphia Eagles, the All-Pro wide receiver told GQ magazine that some of his teammates didn't want him to play in the Super Bowl last February.

"A lot of people, they doubted me," Owens said in the January issue of GQ. "Some of my teammates didn't want to see me come back, but I came back.

"That's why I felt so ultimately disrespected, because I knew how hard I worked to get back on that field to help them. Had I not played, who knows, we probably would've gotten beat worse."

1. It would fulfill my dream

That when Philly offers up TO for trade, they find no takers, and simply cut his ass and he is forced to play the remaining years of his career in either Canadian or Arena League football, making one percent of what he made before. Not going to happen I know, but I would love to see it.

4. Frankly I think he is like the plague.
His mouth screwed up the good deal he had going in San Francisco, and brought the team down with him, and now his mouth has fucked up the Eagles and brought them down, at least for this season. If I owned a football team, I would avoid TO like the plague he is, for his mouth would distract and finally destroy the team. Hell, even Moss says the man has too much baggage, and coming from Randy you know that's the truth.

3. Ya know..........
when the Raiders were winning titles way back when they'd take troubled players and have them play together as a team. Guys like John Matuzak (sp), Lyle Alzado, Ted Hendricks, and so many others. These were the problem children of football. Al Davis needs to snap up TO.

5. No one on the Eagles "didn't want" him to play
I will be the first person to defend Terrell, but that statement is absurd. He's truly a wonderful guy, but he's one of those that always thinks the entire world hates him...and sometimes its a self-fulfilling prophecy.
