How do I stop this?

I was thinking of having small mountain cat which I terrorize people.

1. I think the people who end up in the kitchen...
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 11:47 AM by Jade Fox
are those basically uncomfortable at parties. Give them something to do, like play a
game. Accept their discomfort, and try to work with them on it.

And lock the kitchen door. :)

On edit: I should probably admit: I'm a kitchen-hanger myself.

Put the cocaine in a large bowl in the den.

3. People gather around the food and drinks
A friend of mine solved the problem by moving all the food and drinks out on his deck where he wanted the party to be. It worked, no one even went inside.

4. Food is the ultimate common denominator
It gives people something to talk about when there's nothing else to say.

5. I think htat happens of the host or hostess is in there tinkering
around....

Also, some people just like to stand when they are drinking and talking and eating....

The kitchen is always the place that has the most floor room for standing.... And you can lean on stuff without worrying about killing a knick knack by mistake...

7. I wouldn't want to stop it.
Our best gatherings always center around the kitchen.

We have a great room; the kitchen opens onto the dining area which opens onto the family room. The deck doors are in the dining area, so when weather permits, the deck is part of the entertaining area also.

8. Somebody has got to get the ice.
Face it. You can't keep people from wandering into the place where all the goodies are stashed unless you hire a server.

9. Same here. It's a "Big Chill" thang, I'm afraid.
As long as they help with the dishes, who am I to stand in the way of it?

11. keep a witch in there
then people will be too afraid of ending up in the oven just like Hansel and Gretel :scared:
or maybe that's why people are going to the kitchen, looking for one of their favorite person. ;)
