10. Not so good...

but considering what happened to my city, I fared well. I only lost a dog, some friends and neighbors, house, car, clothes, bedding, etc. The house is fixable and I got some clothes now. Hopefully the hot water will be turned on when I return to New Orleans in a few days. I was given a scholarship to finish my studies at another school this semester, but the Bursar changed his mind a few weeks ago and turned it into a loan, past due. Now they are holding my transcript, so I will not graduate. So much for charity...

I barely know what to do with my time now. I was so antsy yesterday I could barely think. I called my Uncle and we went and had lunch just so I could get out of the house, haha. Beat in egg yolks and flavoring. Blend in flour. Fill cookie press and shape cookies on chilled ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 4 to 5 dozen spritz cookies.

It's taken 5 months to straighten everything out around those 4 words but it's all good now. :) You are too kind with your complements about being surrounded by strong, smart, kind and beautiful warrior women. I'm proud to be a part of that group although few ever recognize the traits. I hate having to put my foot gently in someones arse to get them moving in the right direction from fence sitting but sometimes ya just gotta do what ya gotta do or throw in the towel. It all depends on how much effort the relationship is worth. This one was/is worth going the extra distance. :thumbsup:

my godbrothers in Birmingham organised an interfaith art show, for local artists of all faiths to come and show their work, and talk about it and how they were inspired to make it. Some of it was really good. There was one young Turkish lady who was an opera singer, and she sounded good enough to be pro to my (admittedly untutored) ears. I feel all inspired to go and do something creative myself now. :) How about your weekend?

91. I want to improve my drawing skills

When I get a chance I will go and get some proper soft pencils, and just start with that. I'd like to learn how to paint, but all in good time. I also recently got a harmonium that my godbrother bought for me in India, I should also make an effort to become proficient at that.
