Updating "Tivo" with a cell-phone? Is it possible?
I am thinking about dumping my land-line telephone and just using my cell-phone. The only problem is that Tivo has to dial in every once in a while to update. Is there any way to connect the tivo unit to a cell-phone? I noticed they offered usb adapters- what about phone line adapters? Anyone know if its possible?
My wife just gave me a TiVO last night and we are on cell phones only. Well that isn't true we have a landline for internet at home (don't use it very much) and emergencies. We have a really cheap deal ($15 a month + 9 cents a call). I have to hook the TiVO up to the phone line?
2. I just signed up for a cell plan and want to dump my landline.
9.95 a month and .099 cents a minute with no contract and a free phone. The only reason I would keep my land line is tivo updating. If I copuld dump the landline it would save me 19.95 a month.
