When was the last time you embarrassed yourself?
I just went to the wrong final.

I had the right room, just the wrong time, my final is in a couple hours. But I walk in there, already about 5 mins late, so I think, and I'm a little frazzled and its a little too early for me. Some of the students looked familar, and the test looked like the kind of test we'd be taking, so I just assumed maybe some other guy was giving the test, so I was waiting for him to give me a copy. And I was explaining to him how I was just a little late, all the while, he was looking at me like I was a martian or something.

It would have been less embarrassing if I'd just asked if I was in the wrong place. Share some embarrassing story with me, make me feel less stupid.

1. I was at work in cubicleville
I had to get up to get something from my printer, when I went to sit down, my chair was further back than I estimated. I went down, my chair went careening into the cubicle wall, just as my boss walked by. He yelled, "Are you okay KW?" loud enough for the entire department to hear.

2. A couple of weeks ago,
I put a christmas mince pie in the mircowave at work on top of a napkin and turned it on. Went away for about 30 seconds and came back and the whole things was in flames in the microwave. Whole 11th floor filled with smoke and 19 floors (1,500 odd people) of the office got evacuated and the fire department came.
All but hid UNDER my desk for a couple of weeks. Now have a dandy sticker on my bag the says 'Keep away from fire'.

4. Just the other day
I went ass over teakettle at work right near the time clock where everyone was standing around waiting to punch in. There was some water on the floor and I hit it, flailed around for what seemed like about ten minutes then hit the floor hard. It was quite embarrassing - why don't those things happen when no one else is around? :grr:
