Just got back from Narnia.
All I'm gonna say is it gives me great hope when a child's tale told well can make a fifty year old man feel like he's ten again.

This movie did exactly that for me.

1. So the FX weren't over the top?
That was my worry - it's hard to suspend my disbelief when the CGI looks like a videogame...

3. If you look for the FX you'll find 'em.
If you look for the story you'll find IT. It's your choice what you want to see.

6. All the FX I liked, there wasn't enough of.
If you've seen the trailer, it's cool as beans when someone shoots an arrow but it turns into a firebird sort of thing...it happens one time. :(

Talking Aslan was the best. He was like a minor character (IMO)! :(

I didn't find the FX to be overdone at all...

4. You'll be dragging her round to Disney films just to be able to go to
the movies, LOL! Mine is six now and I still can't get out to see any grownup films. I took her to see Narnia and regretted it slightly (there are some scenes that were too much)--but she loved it and has been talking about it since we saw it.

I think the "watch a first run movie at home" business would make a killing if the studios ever agreed to it.

5. I quite liked it, I must say.
Wasn't looking forward to it so much, I kept having flashbacks of LOTR throughout, LOL...but I quite liked it.
