My daughter asked Santa for something I didn't get her
I got her a dollhouse and a Barbie and some Lincoln Logs. That's what she had talked about wanting before.

So today we go to see Santa and she asks him for a racing car.

Do I go out and buy a racing car now? I thought I was finished shopping.

1. Does she really want one?
Or was it just a request off the top of her head? I asked Santa for a piano, (one of those little kid ones with the colored keys) I really wanted it and Santa didn't bring it. I searched all over the house thinking maybe it was hidden like easter eggs. It was a real bummer.

2. When my husband got home from work
the first thing she told him is that she asked Santa for a race car.

Why didn't she mention this earlier????

ack!

I think she really wants one.

4. So go and get her a small one.
It might be just a phrase or something she just blurted out but if she wants one and she told santa this, then she might be a bit upset if "santa" didn't bring her one.

5. Same thing happened to us.
She asked for a Baby Born doll when she wrote her letter to Santa. When she saw Santa last Saturday, she asked for a new bike with no training wheels.

We had already purchased the Baby Born doll. After she hopped down from Santa's lap, I said that the bike wasn't what she asked for in her letter.

She said, "I know. But it's okay. We don't always get everything we ask for."

Whew.

7. When my daughter was little we saw the Firetruck Santa
Edited on Tue Dec-20-05 07:34 PM by Sequoia
and she asked him if she could get a robot that does housework for her mom. That ^&*%&% Santa gave me a mean look while asking her if I had put her up to it. That's the last Santa she ever saw!! I told her he was a fake one anyway because the real Santa would never say such a thing, much less hang out with fireman who set fires so they can keep their jobs and parade him around in their stupid truck. (Not real city firemen anyway, these guys bought their own firetruck!) Bad Santa! Seriously, I'd always grumble about the housework and how I thought it would be great to have a robot maid like Rosie on The Jetsons.
