They never arrest the real killer on television.

kit and quentin relaxing poolside reminds me of the ending to body heat.

is what makes it fun to watch. i had a feeling there was something going on between kit and quentin, almost mirror images of each other....and both very kinky.

also, let's give matt props for sort of redeeming himself last night.

and what's with psychos trying to force their victims to try and dismember themselves?

and how the hell do these patients undergo MASSIVE reconstructive surgery and look about 90% back to normal within hours?

I was pretty grossly disappointed in the finale and I stayed up until 3AM to watch it.

nip/tuck doesn't make sense on many levels. but hey...it's only TV.

a strong sense of internal consistency--the whole milieu may be farfetched or even wildly alternative, but it has to make sense in and of itself, given its own "rules."

For example, I could buy that plastic surgery scars heal super-fast in the Nip/Tuck alternate reality, if only they didn't use the normal ("real-world") slower healing, normal side effects and normal risks as such a recurring plot device (for example, the whole Jill Clayburgh story arc, or virtually every pre-op consult in every episode).

But the resoloution of the Carver story line is a different beast altogether. It just plain didn't make sense. That plot line was obviously not planned. It just happened and the "resolution" they cobbled together is so full of plot holes that it is just ludicrous.

but reality is becoming more bizarre than the not quite believable plot devices. look at our president....only in the most frightening horror movie would a drug and booze addled religious madman become president.

i didn't count on kit. but if they're an international serial killing team, why are they using their real names?
