My Love
I never especially liked this Wings song -- didn't hate it, but it just didn't do anything for me -- until I saw Paul McCartney do it live during his 1993 world tour. And then it just seemed to click with me. I also happened to liek the way he sang it that night, too, more than the 1973 original. Regardless, it's a song that resonates fairly true -- with me, at least -- when you're feeling what the song is about: love. Call it sappy or schlock, or whatever, but it captures a feeling that we'd probably all be better off feeling a lot more of.

Some people want to fill the world with silly love songs, and what’s wrong with that? I'd like to know. So here I go, again:

And when I go away
I know my heart can stay with my love
It’s understood
It’s in the hands of my love
And my love does it good
Wo-wo-wo-wo
Wo-wo-wo-wo
My love does it good

And when the cupboard's bare
I’ll still find something there with my love
It’s understood
It’s everywhere with my love
And my love does it good
Wo-wo-wo-wo
Wo-wo-wo-wo
My love does it good

Oh, I love
Oh, my love
Only my love holds the other key
To me
Oh, my love
Oh, my love
Only my love does it good to me

Don’t ever ask me why
I never say goodbye to my love
It’s understood
It’s everywhere with my love
And my love does it good
Wo-wo-wo-wo
Wo-wo-wo-wo
My love does it good

Kinda brings to mind one of his earlier compositions, too:

I give her all my love
That’s all I do
And if you saw my love
You’d love her too
I love her

She gives me everything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her

A love like ours
Could never die
As long as I
Have you near me

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

3. When I was 13, I was gonna marry Paul McCartney.
Sadly, my mother thwarted my dream by not allowing me to attend the Wings concert at which I had planned to execute my plan by stealing Paul away from Linda.

5. Here's to lost opportunities

I had a similar occurrence with Marilyn Monroe...the whole fact that she died before I was born really sucked. :-(

7. Yeah, Call Me Wesley is still getting over Marilyn's death, too.
And he was born in '66. :eyes:
