2. For the Popup blocker any one of the major brand firewalls has one.
For file sharing I assume you mean on the Internet?

9. Yes, on the Internet. It's gone crazy. Suddenly, (about 2 weeks)
I have been getting zillions of pop-ups. My Ad-Aware seems to have died.

11. Ok. I assume you're using the same computer right now. Also, do you have
access to another computer that can copy to CD/DVD? Can you get to www.pcworld.com and download another copy of Ad-Aware?

15. CG - Thank you. I was using Ad-Aware 6 which my tech installed
after he repaired my PC a year ago. I uninstalled it (guess it got corrupted...don't know), then installed Ad-Aware SE, so we will see.

Thanks again.

10. We love Bearshare.com for file sharing. Idiot proof, use the bitzi ticket
to check out the files before hand.

16. Here's a list of P2P programs...

That divides them up based on spyware or lack thereof.

You want to take stuff from the clean list.

As for pop-up blockers, get something like Ad-Aware and/or Spybot S&D, use it to clean ytour computer of spyware, then start browsing the internet with Firefox.
