Because if you like ALL of these and Gary Cherone you will love the new Nickleback album. They have a new drummer and it has REVOLUTIONIZED their sound. Don't listen to the "Photograph" sound; that's just a commercial offering so their fanbase wouldn't be alienated. They brought it HARD and well on about 6 songs on the album---NOTHING like previous ones; although the potential has always been there. Tribute song to Dimebag Darrell utilizing one of his solos. Metallica (think Black album) inspired song. Song with Billy from ZZ Topp where you hear elements of VH and Gary Cherone. Drums and guitar on several reminisent of Megadeth also; even hearing a bit of a Jimmy Page echo. Chad's singing ability is greatly enhanced and Ryan Peake REALLY steps it up; as does Mike Kroger on bass.
If you like this style and are open to the changes this is a MUST listen and I hope sincerely they are rewarded for this album.
