I'm sure the patients will be happy having a familiar face around rather than a contract worker too..it's Christmas for them too ;)

11. Every year I dj at the holidays. The last event I do is one
held here in Anaheim at a local resort for people living in assisted living centers who are developmentally disabled. They are given free rooms a free banquet/dinner dance and a free trip to Disneyland (chaperoned, of course) The holidays are a very lonely time for them because even the staff at their facilities take off so this is their Christmas...it comes a little early...they eat, we sing carols, they like to take the mike and talk on it and they dance all night..even if they use a wheelchair someone brings them to the dance floor and they rock...
I've been doing it several years and I wouldn't trade the gig for half the paid ones I do

15. Good luck to you and your wife...
My niece received her masters' and nurse practitioner license last May.

Many opportunities open up with that degree. Ones that let you work regular hours and sit down.

it's hard to be sick on the holidays.I always try to give my patients a little extra love ...it's not a big deal for me-it sucks a lot worse for them and their families.

My husband jokes with me about avoiding driving near a local church. Something about avoiding the traffic jam of the twice a year Catholics. LOL! :hi:

Have good services, Rev!

the four corners region of the Americian southwest.
However, I love to going boating on Lake Powell.
I don't think he would approve.

He works at a movie theater and apparently it's traditional to stay open on Christmas. Truth be told, I'd rather go there than my family's Christmas.

I'm not really a participant in the "War on Christmas". I myself say "Happy Holidays" to be inclusive unless I know for sure what the person celebrates, but if someone says something to me I don't get uptight over the greeting they choose. I just have that down there for any lurking freepers--just to cheese them off .

Happy Holidays to you as well!
