Does the vodka in Screwdriver kill the vitamin C in the OJ?

I don't think so, my lovely wife however disagrees.

My premise is that the vitamin C remains regardless of the vodka.

No, really, do you know? Or are you guessing like I am?

yeah, if you drink alcohol along with vit c, the vit c gets excreted faster from your body. so the vit c is still there but it's just being kicked out at a faster rate if you drink alcohol along with it.

alcohol increases activitiy of the cytochrome p450 system, and a hyperactive p450 rapidly metabolizes other things too.

supercharges the Vitamin C in the OJ. So add more vodka to your screwdrivers for the sake of your health. I'm surprised pediatricians don't recommend screwdrivers for toddlers.
