Good Saturday Morning, Everyone!
:donut::hi:
Here we are at Christmas Eve! I hope you're ready because most of the retailers out there are only going to be open for short day today (including mine! :woohoo:) and if you don't get around, you're not going to get your shopping done.

Tony the poodle is such a lover puppy! I don't think I'm ever going to get tired of his puppy kisses which he give me constantly when I'm here at home. Bandit is getting better with Tony, but still hisses if he messes too much with him, so I think it will all turn out fine in the end.

For those of you who won't be here on DU tomorrow, I want to wish you and your families a very merry christmas! And here's hoping 2006 is a fantastic year for each of us! :bounce:

1. Merry Christmas Eve Clintmax!
Glad to hear your work day will be short, and your time with Greekspeak will be long!

I love puppy kisses and puppy breath!

3. Morning, Miss Kitchen!
:hi::hug:
So do I! It's been a long holiday shopping season for me. I've been looking at Christmas decorations since Halloween, and I'm ready for it to change! I only have a 5 hour work day today, so it's going to be REALLY short. I hope it's busy with last minute shoppers because that will make the day go by even faster!

Merry Christmas Eve, Miss Kitchen! :hug:

will be out in droves today (not to stereotype anyone :evilgrin:...I believe my husband did not shop for me until yesterday...)

10. I had a quite a few in my store yesterday!
So, you're absolutely right...I think they will! And it's not a stereotype...they DO wait until the last second almost to get their shopping done. Get this...yesterday afternoon, the register servers at corporate went down and all the registers for all the stores in the US and Canada locked up for 2 hours! Holey Moley! Was THAT a disaster! :grr:

...I rehab homes to resale. So, I'll work anyday of the year, to help pay the bills. Most of the time, I don't even remember holidays, unless someone reminds me...:shrug:

I'm glad Bandit is warming up to Tony. With any luck things will continue to calm down over time and the two will become fast friends.

13. That too may pass
My roomie has a cat and a cockatiel. Normally when the cat approaches the bird the bird pecks at the cat in self-defense. However on occasion the bird actually just sits there and allows the cat to sniff him, apparently realizing the cat means no harm. Bandit may just need more time.

15. It HAS only been a couple of days...
I may be just be a little impatient. The cat seems to want to get away from him and runs most of the time if he comes near. It's when he's cornered that he takes swipes.

19. Good morning Clint.
:hi:

I've finished shopping now - the last thing was collecting things from the dry-cleaners. I managed to get out of helping my mother with the last-minute dash around the supermarket (I don't even want to think of how hellish they would be today).

A short respite now, then charging into food preparation ready to take with me tomorrow, wrapping presents, and finally collapsing drink in hand at some point in the early evening - before jollying off to midnight Mass.

:hug: :loveya:

Then there's no problem - just take one thing at a time, and it will all get done when it has to.

Thanks for the good wishes - I hope that you and Greekspeak have a wonderful day too (is it just the two of you?). :pals:

Happy Christmas Eve, TJ! :hug: I am having a little black tea with milk and sugar and waiting for Lessons and Carols from King's College in about two hours. Then much later our midnight service. I will think of you and your sister walking home--what a great tradition.

I'm glad you have your shopping done and have only to worry about keeping your head on (as do I when I spend any protracted time with family). Enjoy them greatly! :loveya:

40. I hope that's the Gardner setting.
Which when done well (or rather as I like it to be done) can be quite gorgeous. :D

Happy Christmas eve to you too mon cher :hug:

I'm sure that I'll manage to cope - but if I don't I'll probably just send a moaning P.M. to you (which you should ignore).

Good to know that King's gets all around the world, I notice that they've got a Tavener setting of "Away in a Manger" this year - I'm interested to see what Sir John has come up with.

28. Oh, good!
We used to say, "Go potty!" to Sundance whenever we took him out and inadvertently taught him to go on command (they do teach that to seeing-eye dogs). We could tell him twice in a row -- he'd pee the first time and poop the second time. :rofl:

Oh, thank you. Santa already fixed my roof yesterday. The screen was supposed to be fixed, but they didn't have a big enough piece, so they're coming back on Tuesday. Then we'll have roof cleaned and painted (coming Tues. for an estimate) and be ready to sell the house. That's all I really wanted from Santa ... to get Wilma out of my life.

And I hope Santa is especially good to you. Sounds like Tony is a very special gift! :hug:
