My Christmas Card to the Lounge: My church on Christmas Eve
Edited on Sat Dec-24-05 02:38 PM by yellowdogintexas
Enjoy.

I will be there at 7 pm tonight. There will be other services at 5pm, 9 pm, and 11 pm

This shot is at the end of the service, when we are all singing "Silent Night". Only light is candle light and a little light at the back that is never turned off

2. Thank you. It is a wonderful service, too.
The very first time I visited this church was for a Christmas Eve Candlelight service.

3. THIS is your church?
Wow, I am impressed as well! Which church is it?

It is gorgeous......almost makes me wish I were religious!

Have a wonderful Christmas!

4. First United Methodist Church, downtown Fort Worth, Texas
It is an older building, they broke ground on October 29 1929..a real act of faith!

I enjoy just sitting in the sanctuary and looking around anytime but Advent is my favorite time of year.

I have already ordered my daughter that if she ever gets married and wants to get married in that church the wedding will be during Advent...then I won't have to decorate the sanctuary!

Oh yeah it is a liberal church theologically with a very traditional worship style. My favorite combination.

My husband, who is most definitely NOT religious, enjoys the Christmas Eve services there.

You have a wonderful Christmas as well.
