My BESTEST Christmas Present was book of "GET FUZZY" CARTOONS!
Edited on Sun Dec-25-05 08:05 PM by KoKo01
I have two Siamese Cats. I had one Siamese who live to be 22 years OLD!

I'm really "into" Siamese.. as you can tell...

And MY BESTEST PRESENT WAS THE BOOK...of the DARKER SIDE OF SIAMESE.."Get Fuzzy."

Very few folks could get that humor about the "dumb dog" and the "evil Siamese" unless you have a Siamese living in your household.

Do any DU'ers (besides me) have Siamese that you find "comical?" They are Cats who are very "DogLike" until you push them into a corner and ask them to "declare."

That's why I love "em." But it's also why I just love: "Get Fuzzy" showing the "very Dark Side" of my "housemates." :D "Fuzzy" sort of represents the "contrariness of ALL CATS who hate "The Chimp."

2. I love get fuzzy...it reflects my life pretty perfectly
me and my two best friends...ones as dumb as a rock, the other is the levelheaded guy who keeps everyone in line, and I just sit back and make smart ass comments.

3. Had a cat that was part Siamese. She was hell on wheels. She never
backed down from a fight. She was only nine pounds but made up for it in ferocity. Still to us, she was as sweet as she could be.

She lived to the age of twenty two.

Love Get Fuzzy.

4. Yes...never "corner" a Siamese if you don't want a fight to the death!
Even "part Siamese" means they've got "big fight" in them.

They are a handful...and sometimes it's annoying...but I've always loved their "spirit." That's why I find "Get Fuzzy" so very funny.........!

But, the cartoon could also apply to us "folks out there," too.

7. She took on a rottweiller one time. It was a young one
so was probably not accustomed to being attacked.

9. Your Siamese?

I could see that...they always think they are "BIG STUFF." :D

But most cat owners would agree that any ordinary "Pound Tabby" will always have enough spunk!

Siamese sort of are the "strategists of battle" in my mind from watching them. They would send their fellow cats into battle on "THEIR ORDERS" while they sit back and "plan...strategize...and eventually go in for 'the KILL!'"

BTW: I don't agree with their "strategy." I'd be rooting for the Tabby Cat from the local POUND, if need be. I'm just saying that...Siamese can be very evil...much as I love the breed... Or, maybe they know better than the rest of us, including their "Owners" about "STRATEGY?"

11. We were dog sitting for a relative. Jeanie, our cat did not like
that at all. We had to keep her outside and the dog inside. When the dog needed to be walked, we would let the cat in the front door while we took the dog out the back. After a few times she caught on to our ruse. This time We took the dog out the back, Jeanie came in half way, turned around and ran around the house and attacked the dog. It happened so fast. She jumped right on top the dog's back.

We had the dog on a lease so it wouldn't run away. My wife carried some dog spray because of the Rottweiller. So here was my wife holding onto a leash, the dog on the other end panic-stricken right behind the dog was nine pounds of tooth and claw fury. My wife pulls out the dog spray and tried to spray Jeanie to get her to cut off her attack. The dog and cat were both blind and confused and my wife screaming at Jeanie and me.

The poor dog (Yellow Lab) was shredded pretty bad, but nothing too serious. Jeanie, well she was ready for round two.

13. Incredible! Had a funny experience with my two Siamese
Edited on Mon Dec-26-05 09:51 PM by KoKo01
and relatives who visited with their "pampered dachshund." We had to put "baby gates" up in our house but because of the "floor plan" it seemed the dog had the free run and my cats food and water dishes and litter boxes had to be moved upstairs away from the gates. Given that my cats are both spoiled they were very "miffed" at this arrangement and kept giving us glowering looks from their upstairs "prison."

After three days of my two Siamese being kept out of their "Kitchen Territory" (because of the dog...and the gates) they figured out that at about 3:00 in the morning they would go to the hall gate (outside guest bedroom)and jump over the Upstairs Gate passing by the room the dachsund was sleeping in with our guests. The dachsund would awake and start loud barking awakening our guests, too. In the meantime the cats had jumped the gate gone and done their routine..come back up the stairs for their food and settled down. Our guests were left trying to calm down their dog and try to settle themselves back to sleep.

It got worse as during the day when my female Siamese took to jumping over the upstairs gate and running down the hall in view of the dachsund causing more barking and disturbance and disruption. When the dauchsund would rush out to try to chase her...she was back over the baby gate and gone. Our guests were always rushing upstairs trying to calm their "baby" down. My cats had very self-satisfied looks on their faces when I admonished them.

In the end it all worked out and my guests were really good sports about it...we had some good laughs....

This became a regular game with them.... In the end the "cats won." :D

5. "Get Fuzzy" is a work of genius
Creator Darby Conley is a master of irony and puns. Bucky is the king of feline craftiness. Satchel is more than doggy stupid. He's clueless. Bob really likes the Red Sox.

KoKo01, the friend who gave you this gift must love you very much!

It's my favorite comic strip, right up there with Dilbert. -- It's so deranged.
