Is anyone planning to join the shopping madness today?

Stores opened at 6am.... get yer cheap junk cheaper. I don't get it...

But, I admit that I'll try to sneak into Dillards later this afternoon when the crowd dies down to get a Christmas sweater half off. Over several years I've managed to get some nice holiday stuff for me and my sisters.

on edit: I forgot -- one of our local book stores is having a 20% off sale this week. I will definitely go there. Half Price Books rocks!

I had a return to make--no line. Saw a piece on CNN--they went to a Target to catch the madness and there wasn't any.

#2 Son is out and about; I'll ask him when he gets back if it was a dead where he went.

5. I just have to say...

NOT ON YOUR LIFE.

My husband has a Home Depot gift card from his grandmother that he'd really like to use. We drove past there on the way home from dropping off my in-laws at the airport, and it didn't look too bad. After the kids have a little rest while watching "Madagascar", we might go there.

But I'm not going near the mall, and I'll only go near Target if I have to (if my daughter needs a ride home from work).

I might go stock up on some reduced-price holiday candy over the next few days, but as of right now, I'm sick. Trying to set foot in a store today would only add to the misery. :)
