So, what did Santa or the Winter Solstice fairy bring you?
What'd you get for our winter celebrations? I got a

Kitchen torch and creme brulee dishes (I have an inner Martha Stewart itch that my family scratches)
Some cute little bell ornaments, silver and gold naturally
Several little vials of facial powders and stuff that my sister made up.
A little silver and pearl bee lapel pin, from my niece and nephew.

:D :D

What'd ya get?

3. We haven't opened any presents yet.
In fact, although I hadn't wrapped any by mid-day yesterday, I finally got them done. I still need to figure out something for one of the family members. Fortunately, I ordered something on line for another one today, and was pleasantly surprised that it was on sale.

I'm not sure when we are going to get around to doing the presents--maybe Thursday--or maybe next weekend.

4. Lots of CDs and DVDs...
My husband loaded me up with CDs: Brian Setzer Orchestra's "Dig That Crazy Christmas", a Frank Sinatra Christmas album, two other Frank Sinatra albums, a two-disk set of The Essential Dean Martin (which is FABULOUS), and Jet's "Get Born".

My parents got me two Carol Burnett DVDs and an 8-disk "classic television" collection.

I also received two Department 56 houses plus two cars for my village collection (a Corvette and a Woody station wagon), two pairs of pretty earrings from my younger daughter, a retro Coca-Cola fountain set from my older daughter, a Cuisinart blender (oh, how I LOOOOOOVE receiving kitchen appliances for Christmas...), a well-loaded Starbucks card from my sister, a wooden Father Christmas my uncle carved and painted himself, several packets of Reindeer blend coffee from Caribou, some of my sister's wonderful Christmas wreath cookies, some new flights for my darts, a handheld electronic Yahtzee game, a Dick & Jane calendar, and I think that's all.

I gave my husband a new set of darts, including a big box of extra tips and three extra sets of flights. I really managed to surprise him with that, which was fun.

My kids had a ball. It was great watching them with their treasures.

Your fairy gift givers have nice taste! I was so happy to receive several soy candles & plenty of essential oils, star & moon ornaments, a little gizmo to record my albums to CDs, and a beautiful 8x10 of my 8 month old granddaughter (Noelle)- who spent her first winter solstice in my home - need I say more?!

I love the prog station, Fred (which is far better than Jack FM, natch!), Deep Tracks, The Joint, the Jazz station, and Bluesville.
