So at the Christmas gathering my brother in law says to me...
Edited on Mon Dec-26-05 06:44 PM by mac56
"I can't stand the way some of these cable news channels spin the news."

I nod agreeement and wait....

He continues, "I get home from work, my wife has been watching the TV news all day long and she's completely bummed out."

Still waiting, I nod some more...

"So," he continues, "I just switch the channel to Fox News, and after a few minutes she's not feeling so bad anymore!"

- - -

What else can I say? "Glad it makes her feel better. Fox's spin of the news does that for some people."

As I sidle away I mutter audibly, "Fair and balanced, my ass."

1. A friend of mine told me something similiar
She said that the news is very confusing so she just watches Faux so they can "explain it to her."

2. He's confusing "making her feel good"
with "making her stupid." Common mistake.

4. FOX News makes me feel better.
If by better, you mean a pounding headache and extreme nausea.

5. Suggest that she drink or do drugs - probably safer in the long run
All those nasty stories about the boy king being picked on all day can lead to stress. Couple sucks off the ol' bongeroonie and baby feels all better.
Hope your brother-in-law got some quality stuff from the Bill O'Rielly store for xmas. Heard he had a sale on falafels
