Need help with an earworm

It's a song from Senegal or somewhere in that area. Tribal/reggae sort of groove in the key of E minor. Chorus sounds something like "O-pa-po-wa-numbaaaa, do-way-ooooooh..."

Was used in an American commercial featuring the omnipresent sock monkey. I have no idea what the name of this song is or who performs it. The song may be about 15-17 years old.

Help, please!
