I need to rant: STOP PUTTING CUSTOMER HELP DESKS OVERSEAS!!!
You all know me, I'm the most liberal, open-minded person for a gal from Delaware who works for a Credit Card company.

Not only do I work for a credit card company but all of my accounts (checking, savings, a few CDS, credit, corporate credit) are all through that same company. We get some great benefits that make doing my personal banking with the company.

And they're great people to work with too, even on the line - until the one call and it's :grr:

I've been kinda upset & sad these past couple of days and when I'm upset and sad I do stupid things like loose stuff. And my apartment is now in disarray from trying to find my damn wallet which has all my cards in there plus $80 cash (and I rarely carry cash but my mother thinks it's weird to use a debit card for everything). And it just sucks a brazillion to have to deal with canceling everything. And unlike the last 2 times I swore I lost a debit/credit/wallet etc, this time I really do think it's a goner and with 2 credit cards in there with practically outrageous balances free & clear (one is a corporate card I never use) I better get these things canceled and canceled fast.

Ok, so I'm canceling. Bad thing is even though I use one company for all my banking purposes I still have to talk to different departments for banking, credit and corporate credit. I get banking first and the lady is sweet as pie. Turns out I still have an active temporary ATM card (they give it to you when you open a new account to tide you over until you get your actual debit card) so I have access to at least using an ATM. The lady is sweet as pie and apologizes profusely that she can't help me with the other 2 accounts. But she gives me the number and then transfers me.

The lady who handled my personal credit card sounded like Ms Apple Pie. Real nice about everything and even checked a charge that I notice that came through (turns out it was for my contact lens, Vision Direct doesn't charge until they ship the order). She then transfers me to the corporate help desk.

Well, my joyous experience of canceling cards has just taken a major major wrong turn because I'm not sure who I got but I think it was someone from India. Very very thick accent and I was trying to be very patient with spelling my very very long last name (I always spell it like "S as in Sun" so they get the letters right). We went through this like 5 times and then finally I'm like, "Why don't you ask for my Social" but instead he goes back to my name spelling. It was just so frustrating because when someone wants to report a stolen card you know that person is going through stress, I don't need this.

Finally I called a co-worker who gave me the 800# on the back of his corp-card and got through to someone who took care of it immediately.

But I just had to rant! I understand why some technology is shipped overseas (although I'm not to keen on it). But damnit, when you're dealing with customer service especially with Americans (god I hope I don't sound like a republican). It's all taken care of but god I just had to rant!

"Why don't you people go back where you came from?!!"

Only they are where they came from. Ah well, another xenophobic moment wasted.

3. BASTARD
:grr:

Actually, I really didn't need him til Westbrook went down but by then I was out of the playoffs. Thomas Jones ranked higher than Dillon in the final standings
