I just doubled my laptop memory!
Now I'm running a rocking 700MHz 5-year old Toshiba with Windows ME, except with 128MB of memory - I have 256 MB!!!

1. I tripled my laptop speed
Well, it's not my laptop, "work" gave me a faster one to use since my other one really didn't like running apache and mysql and php and dreamweaver and firefox and winamp all at the same time.

Still, I've done the 128MB to 256MB jump before, it's a wonderful thing :toast:

4. I can definitely tell a performance improvement.
I wish I could add more, but alas, I cannot. This is all the sonofabitch can handle.

3. Satellite 2805
Bought it in January of 2001, and it's still ticking. I had to replace the hard drive, but otherwise, it's been an awesome work horse, and has travelled all over the country in many an airplane, including a trip to Hawaii.

Although the DVD drive overheats if I play a movie and will only last about 45 minutes. I wish that the DVD drive worked better. It was fine when I bought it, but has gotten worse over the years.
