Man Breaks Into Woman's Home, Puts Porn On Computer

FREMONT, Calif. -- A woman in California called police to report that an intruder broke into her home and added pornography to her computer.

The woman in Fremont said she woke up and was startled to see a stranger typing away on her computer.

Police said the intruder fled, but left behind an altered screen saver that featured erotic images.

One also wonders if hackers get into peoples' computers, leave kiddie porn, and then tip off cops you have it on there...

3. Actually happened in Niles,
the former silent-screen film capital, next to Fremont.

I live in the area and I think there is more to this story than meets the eye. Nothing was stolen or tampered with, save the screen saver. What the "intruder" left, was a screen saver of erotic Indian art. Fremont has a significant Indian population. My gut feeling is that this is some kind of stalking or obsessed acting-out, and there is someone living in or visiting the home who knows exactly what happened and why.

I agree with you there. Either the woman is making it up (which I don't like to believe because I don't like to think that about anyone who reports a crime), or the person was stalking her or had some really weird dynamic going on with her. Otherwise, it really doesn't make sense. People break into houses to steal things, not to put porn on computers!

5. Why would a hacker get into a random person's computer, leave kiddie
porn, and tip off the cops? Hackers go after security holes to expose them, in an effort to make the application more security. The people who break into people's houses to put kiddie porn on them are just dumb criminals.
