6. It must be frustrating to still be in love with your ex......
But I certainly can understand it!

As you say, she is the mother of your children!

Whenever there is such a physical, tangible link, I think it must be hard to shed all the tender feelings and thoughts that you once had.....

Please take care of yourself.....

It's good for our children.
We are both holding our breath,
waiting for our son to come home,

Your wishes make it easier.
 :loveya:
Thank you, Peggy.

14. I'd like to expound a little here, neighbor
When our children were 3 and four, she left me for
someone that:

1} would hit her

2} had a harley

Now she has no teeth, three more children, and
doesn't want to see him again.

But wait, there's more.

16. Now that I have your attention
We were divorced 17 years ago.

Through all those years we kept our differences
seperate from our children.

After all that drama, she is one of
my closest friends.

Life is full of surprises.

17. I am happy to hear that you are one of her closest friends!
Sometimes it takes a divorce to reveal the true nature of the people involved.....

And when you don't have to live together, then you can be friends...

Am I close to the truth?

Since I have never been divorced, or even separated.

Indeed, yes, life is full of surprises....sometimes even good ones!

I guess it's a shared amazement about
what children will become.
Shock and Awe.

9. We've all been there and done that in one form or another
Ya can't change a fucking thing except yourself. Get a grip and move on and above all take care of your children and be nice to your X, no matter what heat score ya have. Transfer that love to your kids.

Trust me if you do that, she'll realize that you we're one hell of a guy. And for God's sake what-ever you don't ever hit her.

11. I have no power to scare you or anyone.
No, that was not my first reaction.....I just said what ever you do don't hit her in a fit of anger.

If she wanted you to hit her and you wouldn't and she left because of that, I would guess she found someone that would hit her. Maybe that's the way she got off.

Maybe you need some sleep to think about it, eh?

I don't believe if you love someone you can just quit loving them. Maybe you will always love her.

But that doesn't mean she's good for you or the kids. Seems like you understand that.

I spent two years with a man I loved desperately. I still love him. I will probably go to my grave loving him. But we were not good together and I had to make a choice.

You have to make a choice, although it sounds like you already made it. Still hurts sometimes, though, huh?

20. khashka, Thank you for that.
It might seem trivial, but she keeps her
lliving room as dark as a cave.
I like bright lights.

I think I understand going to the grave, loving that one.

My ex is a truly great friend. He understands me (and me him) like no other. Romantically, it didn't work out, but we have committed as friends.

You have always come across as such a kind and loving person. I am truly sorry she couldn't deal with that.

I am euphoric to have you respomd.

Her ex-ness doesn't stop me from enjoying
her friendship.

We both get a charge from Garth singing 'The Dance.'

I would not give up the bittersweet memories.
