1. If I was sick on New Years Eve, here's what I'd do:

Take medicine all day (but not more than safe doses), and then take some NyQuil and completely pass out around 9pm.

Fuck the countdown, fuck the parties, fuck the dropping of the ball...

Get some sleep in a warm, comfy bed. And congratulate yourself tomorrow morning for being one of the few people in the US to wake up without a hangover.

2. took some of your advise

took meds around 4:30pm, "passed out" until 10:30ish, took some more. Vaguely remember my partner shaking me around midnight saying "Happy New Year" -- I think I mumbled something....

no hangover this morning, head still stuffed, coughing - but at the moment better than yesterday... hoping the cold is in it's "last throes"....
