We've got a river outside our window now....
Where there was once a paved street its now a rushing river - about 4 inches deep.

I think I'll call it the Harcourt Creek.

:scared:

1. You guys have more water than you can handle, and we have none.
Ain't that always the way? I hope everyone out there stays safe. And dry.

4. I can't remember the last time we got significant rain.
If we don't get a ton of rain this winter, next summer is going to be rough.

It sucks-went through it in '93 and '95.
Hope you're stocked up on everything you need and ready to evac if necessary.

5. We should be OK
ON a hill...no risk of mudslides (yet)

But there is the chance that the water will rise around Bishop Ranch....which would be scary...

Or that the resivoir will break...causing Dougherty Valley to become Dougherty Lake...

8. We didn't have the mudslide problems as much
as just plain old flooding everyone's property(especially some prime farming areas). We had a couple of small towns actually disappear and they no longer exist. We even had caskets flowing down a river. I don't think that all of them were ever identified and claimed(it's been over 10 years now and I just don't remember).

It could always be worse-it could be flooding in the summer and you'd have to deal w/ mosquitos too!
