I sometimes try to PM people who might have me on ignore, but I have not found one yet. I am kinda assuming the tale that you cannot PM somebody who has you on ignore to be true.

back when I was moderating I noted a couple of things:

Exceptionally few people had me on ignore, and

Most of those who blew the greatest amount of air about how they were too pure to use the ignore list had the longest ignore lists.

I'm sure there are those who don't much care for me or who just plain don't get me. I try to resolve my differences constructively, and if I know that there's a conflagration surrounding something I've posted I'll attempt to resolve it. But I'd much rather that someone who couldn't resist the urge to hurl an epithet in my direction put me on ignore than risk getting tombstoned. Some of my closer friends both on the internet and in the brick and mortar world are people with whom I originally had conflict.

I have exactly one person on ignore, a person so bereft of intelligent thought I found it better to not even know :)

Do we count people who put us on ignore, and later got their asses BANNED??

I did ask someone to put me on ignore once, but I do not think that person did.
