No! No more snow!
No more!
:banghead:
We had a late start for local schools today because we got dumped on again, overnight. I should have known- I could see parts of the driveway pavement yesterday. Now it's alllll white again. My damn push-broom is buried somewhere under all of it. Who knows what else is under there.

I'm going to get some green food coloring, mix it in a bottle with water, and spray the backyard, so I can pretend it's grass. One year I went so nuts I started trying to melt the snow in our yard with a hairdryer.
:banghead:

There's definitely grass there...

4. We have never had a vacation. Ever.
The only time my husband's ever taken off more than two consecutive days of work was when I had Sprout #2, and Sprout #3. We didn't even have a 24-hour honeymoon (due in large part to the fact that we had a four month old baby at the time.)

5. Well then change that
Slip a mickey in his drink...then pack the whole family in a car and he'll wake up somewhere over Florida, en route to Montego Bay.

Stay at Beaches resort.

The kids will love it.

You'll get sun.

And he'll come to value the importance of recreation.

6. How long have you lived here?
:P

When we get snow after March 22, you're allowed to bitch. Not one second before. This has been a very dry, mild winter. I got to ski exactly twice, and I had to drive all the fuck way out to Lake Mariah to get decent x-country conditions.

But I'm unimpressed. I saw more flakes in my cereal bowl than on the street today.

I suppose it's ironically bootless at this point to try and stop it.

12. So now wouldn't be a good time to tell you it's sunny and supposed to be
near 70 degrees today????

I like the green food coloring. So festive. St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner.

It has to melt sometime

13. Hey, send your snow down here to Missouri
We need the moisture and besides, I bought a brand new snowblade for my lawn tractor back in the fall of '04, and have yet to use it. The past two years I've dutifully attached it in the fall, all ready for the snow, and both winters we've barely gotten enough snow to cover the ground. One hundred and fifty bucks gone to waste.

15. Just come down to the Cities
We have just a few patches of snow left, and all we got last night was a light dusting that is like the sugar on a sugar cookie.

18. My sister's down at Macalester.
My Mom was just pitying her having to come up here, to all of our snow, when her break from school starts, soon. I told her "Big deal! At least she gets to leave, again in a couple weeks!"

21. Perhaps she does.
She's getting an apartment with her boyfriend this summer (she's in the dorms, now.) But I think she's staying in the vicinity- she doesn't have a car. I've never been to see her, but I used to work at Rosedale, and live in Shoreview, and I bummed around that area with a friend of mine on occasion.
