Is this song about fundies?
That's what I'm getting:

shed your appendages.
trade your skin for scales.
venomous speech.
your blood stained teeth.
you won't stop until you've sucked us dry.
you speak your love for me.
i turn my back, and you curse my name.
excrement by any other title will still reek.
start out praying, and wind up masturbating.
self gratification in jesus name
is still the same thing.
there you are. curled and poised to strike.
your fangs in my veins all because of your vanity.
all the kings horses and all the kings men
will not put this together again.
you speak your love for me.
i turn my back, and you curse my name.
excrement by any other title will still reek.

1. I could read that into it myself
It's called Lullaby for Sleeping Babies from a band called "Small Towns Burn a Little Slower". There's a website for local bands in MN where some of their lyrics are posted. You have to scroll down about halfway to get to them:

http://www.freewebs.com/mnlocalscene/lyrics.htm

I noticed that while a few of their other songs include religious imagery, none of them seem to have the distinct distaste for religion that Lullaby does. Therefore either this one is not anti-fundie/religion (but is instead about something else entirely), or it is the only one that is.

2. Yea, I know as I'm from Minnesota
I've seen them play twice.

I think it's anti-fundie but not neccesarily anti-all religion (which would not contradict the rest of their songs)

4. Either fundies or
predatory, blood-sucking insects/vermin.
