I'm gonna burn my bras!

I've got a few 36DDD bras that I can no longer wear because I had reduction surgery a few weeks ago. My surgeon said today that I'm good to go braless if I choose to do so! My "girls" defy gravity these days.

Seriously, it feels so good to be able to stand up straight without effort and to not be exhausted by this time every day. I only lost about 3 pounds from the reduction, but everyone says I look twenty pounds thinner. If you want to know what it was like pre-surgery, tie a few rice bags together with a long length of ribbon between them and hang them around your neck all day.

BTW, I'll probably actually donate the bras to Goodwill.

My daughter had that done a few years ago. That is exactly what she said. I'm glad you feel better now!

I asked him for mosquito-bite sized breasts and I'm still a C.

You can't do a decent breast exam with that much tissue, and a mammogram is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Besides, how does she find clothing that fits? I was a 36G and size 6 pants when I nursed my last one.

They hurt when I bounce, in more ways than one, up and down the stairs, jump, or do anything else somewhat strenuous.
It is your body though. I suppose that being as big as you were and how most bras are, you actually have less movement now than you did with your previous size with bras.
Whether or not you choose to go braless, get rid of those big bras though.

Okay, well, I needed them when I was pregnant and nursing because I was all over the place. And I used a soft bra while recovering.

I swear: no matter how well they're fitted I feel better without one.

Honestly, I have no idea what size I am. Based on blouse size, I think I'm about a 36, but not a clue what cup size. I wore a back brace for 8 years, and can't stand to have anything else wrapped tightly around my torso. I just wear camisoles under my tops.

I have a shoulder injury that can be irritated by bra straps. I honestly dislike clothing that is tight or confining. Jockey's micro fiber is my favorite camisole fabric, there's never a shelfbra built into it.

Not a good pic of me with my eyes closed, but I have about a thirty inch waist hiding under those 36-3Ds. It's not a very attractive deal to be this big.

Now I look more like a normal 36C where the boobs aren't lower than my elbows any more. I have clothes to give away.

I suspect my surgeon will eventually put up before and after pics on his website (without my face, of course).

and alot every day, and you are visualizing the clothes you could wear without the big ones, and you are taking ibuprofen nearly every day for the back pain, then it is time.

I wake up w/ backaches and go to bed w/ them.

Right now I have no insurance so I cannot afford the surgery.

hospital is going to rip the insurance off for as much as they can get. I've alredy spent about $1,500 and expect to pay about another $1,000. I'm really sorry you don't have the means to go down this road right now.

My best friend's younger sister had her reduced last year. Her sister and I had to feel her up after it healed-we were both in awe of how small they looked. And she can now lie down on the floor and always have them point straight up!

It's freezing cold here today and I don't wear the darn things. Maybe they'd throw some heat...

Seriously, congratulations - I've often thought that must be an awful burden to carry around.
