27. My Jewish friend and I were talking about the whole guilt thing.
I was a cradle Catholic (now a recovering Catholic) and she said to me "What are you talking to me about guilt. Jews invented guilt!" I told her that Jews may have invented it but Catholics perfected it. :)

Yes, I'm giving up Catholicism for Lent. It will be a sacrifice, considering how much I love everything about the Catholic Church (well, most everything--all the religious stuff just doesn't do a thing for me), but I will survive.

When I was in high school, our valedictorian gave up smoking weed for Lent. And in his case it really was a sacrifice--that boy smoked more reefer than anyone in town.
