So what are your plans this fine Saturday
and how is the weather where you live?

Here in Tallahassee we will be in the high 70's and it is time to get the winter mess out of the yard. We're doing a lot clearning and mowing, and woodchips. Next week we'll put in some annuals.

I have given the chickens away. They are somebody else's problem now. At least I didn't have to dispatch them.

I might ride my bike to the gym. (I doubt it)

I probably will kick back and read a book I got at the library yesterday. That and my Uncle probably will come over and we'll probably find something to do. I love nothing better than to kick back and read though. Just love it.

5. Resting....
I went to an amazing concert in Minneapolis on Thursday and I'm still tired. My muscles ache and I have several bruises that mysteriously appeared on my legs. Funny thing....my girlfriends have similar bruises on their legs, too! Hmmm, a sign of too much alcohol I guess.

We had a blast but it is going to take several days to recover.

By the way...have you ever attended an event, had an amazingly good time, and then saw a scathing review of the same event the next day? This just happened to me and it really pisses me off. I, and about 3,000 other concert goers, had the best time and reviewer apparently didn't notice. What a dick.

Work on the bathroom we're renovating, do some laundry, grocery store, etc.

I live near Seattle, WA and the weather is cloudy right now, in the high 30's. The nice thing is that they're high clouds, so you can still see the mountains, which makes for a nice view with your coffee and morning paper.

10. Huddling inside, wishing I was in Tallahassee
It's FREEZING and the wind is HOWLING this morning. Guess I'll stay in and clean, maybe go to the gym.

As for the chickens, at least you don't have the problem my one girlfriend had -- cleaning out the coop a few weeks ago, she got bit by a fox who was lurking underneath.

She just had her last rabies shot on Sunday. Not fun. She estimates that, even pre-foxbite, her eggs cost her $8 each

19. I once opened my biddie bin
(big wooden box for hatchlings that had chicken wire on one side) to find a huge...and I mean 8 feet...rattlers in it. He was slow and fat. I closed it very quickly, cleared my head a bit and went to find my husband. But when I found him I could not articulate what it was! He got the idea eventually. I was pretty freaked.

44. Yikes!
The little fox only nipped her on the way out from under the coop, but she had to get the shots anyway. The shots were WAY scarier than the little fox.

But an 8' rattler? Makes me glad to live in a cold climate!

I start out on the slots, then go to the blackjack table. I'm not a big gambler, every time I go I either win 20 or 30 or loose 20 or 30-dollars, that is. Bally's has a little place called The Pickle Deli where they have the best hot pastrami sandwiches. That's what I'm really looking forward to

I've pulled a few 24 hour days recently chatting with DUers so today I'm not doing much of anything.

It's near freezing, this weeks 10 inches of snow (which was really only 2 inches) is still glaring coldly back at me. I envy you the warmth to enjoy your gardening.

How many chickens did you have? It sounds like they were a problem. What happened? I'm thinking about keeping peacocks when I stop traveling.

The chickens weren't a problem, but they are killing all the poultry in Europe so I figured it was time for them to find another home. I don't want to deal with the quarantining, etc. I only had 14. I did have quite a few fertile eggs, but they've gone to another home..a farmer with more time to deal with the headaches and paperwork.

I hope the bird flu flies right over Florida. Peacocks are interesting. They make a very strange sound. We have one nearby.

60. Going to see a local production of "Angels in America"
by The Hypocrites Theater Group (my partner and I saw an excellent production of "Equus" they staged a couple of years ago)

They're only staging Part 1. Part 2 "Angels in America: Perestroika) will be staged next month.

I'm really looking forward to it.

73. I envy you. That was a great show. I didn't know they had made it
into a play. Let us know how you liked it.

75.  I went to Target and the dentist today
I've had an old crown fall off twice. Had to get a new one today. She had tried to use super glue for it, as the post had also fallen off.

No big plans for tomorrow. I thought I wouldn't post on DU today, but the day was slower than I expected it to be.

The weather is chilly and windy, with spring-like temps coming soon.
