Ex-Creed Frontman, Scott Stapp, Sued Over Stripper Sex Tape

A woman who claims she was involved in a video showing Christian rock singer Scott Stapp with several strippers has sued Stapp for invasion of privacy.

I loved FARK's synopsis of this: "In yet another case of pot v. kettle, Kid Rock calls Scott Stapp an idiot for losing sex tape"

he called this "perfect timing" considering his latest "offering" just dropped last Tuesday.

Well, this is weird. The news story says Stapp and Kid Rock got a temporary restraining order preventing Red Light from distributing the video. I thought that would have meant Red Light couldn't show the 40-second promo version, too. But I found this link when googling Stapp:

I wonder if this defies the restraining order. Maybe I just misunderstood the meaning of what was said in the link in the original post (above).

The reason I posted this story was because this guy is supposedly a Christian rocker who puts out "spiritual" music. Being about as non-religious as one can get, I'm always interested when folks spout Christian values, then live by other values.

From what I've found out about Stapp today, he appears to have a problem with substance abuse, sex tapes, and was also in a fight at a bar last fall. I'd never heard of him (I'm an old broad), so decided to go snooping around on google to find out who he is. I'm more a Leonard Cohen kind of girl. I haven't gone to the links in the story yet to hear samples of Kid Rock and Stapp, but probably will before I go to sleep tonight -- just to try to unpdate my awareness of pop culture. (I had at least heard of Kid Rock, but the only thing that was familiar to me was the name ... I have no idea what his claim to fame is.)

I am very seldom aware of who is and is not a celebrity.

If it wasn't for google, I'd be outta luck.

Creed was all over the radio (and the stupid loudspeaker at the job I had then) about five years ago. Awful dreck, very much reminiscent of especially bad 80's power ballads. :puke:

When I'm not listening to Cohen, it's all that square stuff out of the '40s. Love the old standards. I wonder if Bing Crosby has any sex videos out there on the net...

No use crying now. You performed a sex act on a celebrity- on videotape!- and you're surprised that it got out in public? And as for Stapp, I am so happy this happened to him. Couldn't have thought of a better person for this to happen to.
