BLECH on psychotic conservatives -------------

I just got a bunch of hatemail about my article on DU this weekend (homepage). What is wrong with these people?

One was a screed on how I didn't offer any specific plan--the article is not about a specific plan, it is about image.

One was just a meandering piece of bs about killing babies, which was completely irrelevant.

Don't they have anything better to do? Do any of you go around emailing conservative writers and telling them how awful they are? I sure don't...

1. Ah, laugh it off...

Know that reading your article pissed them off for the rest of their night and made their blood pressure go up a bit- and take pride in that. And then laugh at the spelling and grammar mistakes.

I know all too well what that hate mail is like. Back during Clinton's first presidential campaign, my father (then a lt. col. in the Air Force) wrote a letter to the editorial page of the Chicago Tribune arguing that gays should not be barred from military service and that trying to keep them out was bad for national defense.

We're talking about one stupid letter to the editor in one stupid newspaper (not even a national or nationally renowned one at that), and my father got a flood of anonymous death threats.

actually I will write to the paper in response to their BS, but it is not about being awful - it is about factual and/or logical errors, although I did say that Joseph Perkins was a hatemonger and that Tony Snow was producing "blizzards of hyperbole". :evilgrin: But I also think that both were guilty as charged.

I hope I am not meandering here. I enjoyed your piece and almost wrote you that we could have a new slogan "like a good neighbor, liberals are there" but that phrase is probably copyrighted.

edit - I rechecked, and I had misremembered.
