Solution for NFL owners: outsource to India!
This should lower costs dramatically. I am willing to bet that a good Indian quarterback could be had for about a tenth of what we are paying American quarterbacks. I am sure the same goes for most every other position.
This should also lessen the strength of the union as most Indian football players are not unionized.
Profits should soar. Customers may notice some slight decrease in quality. One way to ameliorate this is to give the players great American nicknames like "Biff" and "Snake" and "Crazylegs" or maybe "Rip".

All of the overpriced crap they were selling here, (hats,t-shirts,etc) were made in China.
I mean, what the fuck, this is a product (nfl) that is ENTIRELY paid for by Americans, and we can't make a fuckin t-shirt in the USA ? It's just sick, and I'll be damned if I waste another minute of my life watching. Most of the people in the league are rightwing fucknuts anyway. They can all just go to hell.
