windows are open, pleasant breeze blowing as the sun sets....
it was in the high 70's here today and simply lovely! The lilacs, forsythia, cherry, and dogwood all have buds - and they're swelling larger each day! The daylillies and daffodils are up about 6 inches!

Sometimes it helps me to step away from the news and step back into my own backyard, gives me the hope that all gardeners understand.... During the winter all may appear dead but deep in the earth the roots spread, sap begins to rise, seeds slowly wake and yawn and then spring erupts fresh, dewy, and full of exuberant growth!

To Spring, my fellow travellers! To Spring!

4. Daffodils and forsythia are blooming here
in the DC area.So are a couple of crab apple trees down the street.
I've got a bad case of spring fever! :D
