Well, The Cast From "This Old House" Just Left MY House

well not REALLY :D

but in prep for our new tile kitchen and bath later this week, we had our half bath gutted and the plumbing in the basement re-routed. Mrs Matcom works with a woman whose son has done some plumbing work for us on the side in the past. he works for the plumbers on "This Old House" (yes, he has been on TV before).

he brought a friend to help him who handles the heating systems for "This Old House".

good thing since our house is 130+ years old :D

bang up job as always. no, 'Norm' wasn't with them.

nice to know the EXPERTS though

2. That's very cool

I love old houses - I used to live in a circa 1865 farmhouse and I grew up in a late 1700's saltbox that had a dirt floored cellar with a well in it (that was cool - there was a wooden trapdoor over the well), hand shaped beams and 2 fireplaces around a central chimney (there had once been a third fireplace but they filled it in to make room for modern appliances in the kitchen). Old houses rock but often the plumbing and electrical in them do NOT.
