1. I like UConn as a chamnpionship pick and believe that
too much is being made of the Syracuse game. However, although we all know that at least one #5 loses to a #12 each year, you've picked two of them and (no offense) I hate both picks. I believe this is the year that all four #12's go out in the first game. Kent State over Pitt looks too risky for this boy's blood, and I believe Utah State over Washington is just giving away points to the competition.

I also think Nova goes out a lot earlier than the final, whether Ray's eye is healthy or not. Good or not, the team averages 6'3". If Nova faces Nevada, Nova goes home, IMHO. Lastly, I think you're giving too much credit to Ohio State.

You asked ;)

3. I am having doubts now...
Do you think I'm giving UW Milwaukee too much credit? Espeacilly with me having them take out Florida in the second round?

4. I'd hate to have you trust me and then bomb, but the answer is
yes. I actually do see them winning without a problem in the first round, but them getting past Florida is a pick I don't have the guts to make.

On one hand, brackets are won and lost on picks like this. It isn't a bad gamble if you're playing in a large pool, because if you get away with it the competition will need to make it up on a similar upset. On the other, if Oklahoma makes it to the Sweet Sixteen, a quarter of your bracket could be a pointless black hole.

I'd go with my gut - but if you picked those #12's just because it's customary to do so, please give it some thought. Utah State just reeks of suicide.

5. It's a crap shoot,
UWM was a suprise Sweet 16 team last year and Florida historically falls short in the tourney.

2. My first two rounds are like yours
but I have Duke beating Iowa and I do sincerely believe that Duke's chances are much much better than what the pundits and media would have us believe.

It's trendy to hate Duke and to wish for Duke to lose every game, but they have just as good a chance as anyone else at the moment and, unlike UConn, Duke actually won its tournament championship.
