Elton Bans Paris Hilton from Future Oscar Parties
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 06:10 PM by Beaverhausen
Sir Elton John has reportedly banned socialite Paris Hilton from his future post-Oscar parties, after she failed to make a compulsory donation to the rocker's AIDS charity. The hotel heiress and her boyfriend Stavros Niarchos III attended John's annual bash at Hollywood's Pacific Design Center last Sunday.

A party source tells website PageSix.com, "The party is a benefit gala, and tickets are $2,500 a pop. When it was suggested to her that she donate the money, Paris just said, 'Don't you know who I am?' and waltzed right in. Isn't she supposed to be wealthy? Everyone else paid. She won't be asked back."

A representative for the Elton John AIDS Foundation confirms The Simple Life reality TV star did not pay for her ticket. However, Hilton's spokesperson insists the party girl intends to make a donation, saying, "Paris did instruct her accountant to cut a check for $10,000. They should get their money."

1. "Don't you know who I am?"
Yep. You're the rich whitebread socialite with only three brain cells and a reckless disregard for the rules. Buh-bye.

4. My father tried using that line once
"Don't you know who I am?" It was on the occasion of his DUI arrest - my dad, who was a big shot in the small town I come from, tossed that line out at the arresting officer and was told, "Yeah, you're a drunk." I and his other kids got a huge laugh out of that.

He lost his license - I forget for how long - but he came to my house one day (I lived in the neighboring state) to ask if he could use my address to get a driver's license from that state so he could ride his motorcycle that summer! Of course I said no and gave him a lecture (which was exactly what he'd have done had I ever asked something similar).

It will be no surprise to anyone that he's a Republican.

6. What a whore.
That party was filled with A-List artists, and she has the nerve to pull the "Don't You Know Who I Am" bullshit?

Yeah honey, they know who you are. You're a flash in the pan reality star. There happens to be honest-to-god living legends in that gala. Humble yourself, you are nothing to them. Even if you accountant cuts a 10K check, you'll never be invited back. There are places in the world where people have to kiss your wealthy ass, but Elton John's party is not one of them. Everyone there has money, yours doesn't impress them.

7. I've got the infamous video
Actually, I found it in my daughter's home directory. No, I don't want to know how it got there and I'm waiting to see what cornball excuse she comes up with to inquire where it went.

9. Is there a way that Paris can be banned from planet Earth?
It's hard to believe that the same network that put The Simpsons and King of the Hill on the air was also responsible for giving this self-involved twit the in-road to become a major cultural icon.
