A farewell toast to Foggy Bottom!

Not to the State Department.

Not to George Washington University, that has eaten alive the old black residential neighborhood.

But to the Foggy Bottom Ale, brewed by the last vestiges of Old Heurich, who once had a massive brewery where the Kennedy Center sits on the bank of the Potomac.

They have shipped their last cases, and I have bought the last sixpack from the local store.
