isn't it something to witness a shift in public sentiment... finally? In following items (and DU emotions day to day) there is so much frustration - but when I step back and think about the overall public sentiment when I started at DU in the beginning of 02 and compare it to today... then I can see a very perceptable shift. Still a long way to go - but a very different trajectory...

Just in a reflective mood tonight...

i miss those old days...the smaller, DU 1.0...Kheph, etc...sigh

i'm glad there's still so many of us still kicking, either here or elsewhere :)

sorta bittersweet - about once a month or so I drive past a park in Indy where Keph arranged a du gathering... it both warms me, and makes me very, very sad.

It is very different at the DU - I still relish it - but it is different than back in the smaller days- when it was rare that someone had 2K posts and you had not run across their posts before... but the up side is so many more ideas pop up so quickly.

I, too, am glad to know that many of us who were 'activated' in the early days - are still around, here or elsewhere, and doing our bit to try to get more folks more widely "aware" .

While they may not be here tonight, here's a toast to the oldtimers :toast:

One of our first exchanges... laments about how folks kept mixing up our genders due to our genderless nics (folks thought he, was a she, and I was a he) - and a discussion about our nics - and finding that my nic (initials - followed by state (in)) could have been his (same three initials - and the same state)... ah - such bittersweet memories...thanks for getting me on that train of thought... :D )

we just found out today, we got the apartment...it's beautiful. The Mrs. and I saw it last week...1st and only place we looked at, and we're signing the lease on Friday...magnificent, it is...And you and your Mrs. will soooo be invited to the apartment-warming, rest assured :)

a car show up there in January, and it was an easy drive.
