8. How Long
Dec '00 - I thought I was alone in my fears and concern after Bush stole the election. I think I was still in shock; how could this country have someone like him as President. It was more than I could ever understand or believe. One day, I don't remember how, I came across Democratic Underground and I felt I had been saved. There were actually people who felt like me and they were also devastated. I lurked for a long time and still do not really enter into too many dialogues but knowing that I am not alone has given me hope.

I started lurking in 2001, but it took me a couple years to register (Jun 16th 2004). Then another year or so to work up the nerve to post. Now I'm in the 70 Club. :scared:

My New Years resolution that year was to do everything and anything to get Chimpy back to Crawford.

When I found DU, I was "over the moon". Registered immediately and I check in at least twice a day everday since.
