Sometimes I get weak and let them hurt me

I had one of the most hurtful times of my life last night. At any given point I don't give a fuck what these mean spirited mouther fuckers think. But sometimes I get weak. Then I get my feeling hurt. I had some people say some of the most hateful bigoted shit to me,and like a dumb ass I internalized it. I mean yea I live in an area where fox news is the news of choice.And what you have is who you are. And being a social radical standing for the truth, and being black, I set myself up for attack. I don't normally care what people think. I'm not seeking there acceptance and they aint given it. But some times I get weak and they hurt me so bad that I think man I really must be a peace of shit, then I cry. And it will be with me all day. Has any one every felt that?

You aren't weak. You're human. Your attackers are inhuman. When they attack you like that come here where you are respected and cared for.

They will get theirs. I'm sorry you're hurting.

To not care and live in this reality.

I live in a pretty red part of a mostly blue state, and I've gotta tell you, nine times outta ten, their argument can get shoved RIGHT back in their face. Like asking them if Brownie was what they had in mind when they said that * was gonna "surround himself with good people". John Kerry campaigned about securing our ports...HE wouldn't have tried to seel (out) our ports to the same people who channelled 9-11 money. It goes on and on.

I'm sorry we couldn't be There for you.

I've been having good experiences as a whole. Moving around my community has never really been a problem for me. Oregon is a great state and I am a lifelong resident. I have good friends, and get together with other DUers in my town. But some times, after all this work I just get emotionally blindsided by open hatred and it leaves me stunned.
